Skuzzy, help with "public ports"
« on: February 22, 2007, 07:49:50 PM »
I'm trying to set up AHII in my router to get through the NAT through "Special Applications". It asks for the Trigger Ports (2000-6000), Trigger Type (UDP, TCP or Both, set to "Both"), Public Port (only one port allowed, can't use 2000-6000) and Public Type (also set to "Both").

What is the public port?

On a similar topic, I've also tried to enable QoS, but I run into the same problem I can't figure out "local port range", "remote port range" and "traffic type" (None, smtp, pop3, http, ftp).

Please don't answer with "if you don't know what these are, then you shouldn't mess with them". I learn better if I understand what I'm dealing with. I'm a mechanical/electrical technician and deal with "theory" every day.

Aces High II uses a random subset of ports in the range of 2000 to 6000 for both UDP and TCP.
