Chain of command in FSO (all read Please)
« on: May 19, 2007, 01:38:03 AM »
Roc's post has prompted me to put this down.

We do have a chain of command in FSO it is part of what makes the event what it is.

The key thing to remember is this. Not every CM in the SEA during an FSO event is there to help with problems. Most of them, in fact usually all but two, are there to enjoy their time with their squad.

This being the case, if you are having problems in FSO of ANY KIND, you should follow the chain of command. STOPING with the set-up CM. He is as high as you are going to go during that night. Going to another CM is not going to help you. In most cases, going higher, during the event, is only going to make things more confusing and maybe make (the higher CM's) leave the arena in frustration.

If a squad pilot has a problem, he should go to his CO.

His CO can then, if necessary, go to his CIC.

The CIC can then, if necessary, go to the Set-up (host) CM.

That Set-up CM, if necessary, can choose to go to the Admin CM. (event designer)

During the event, in the SEA. That's it. end of the line.

The other higher ranking CM's will deal with any problems AFTER the event. By E-mail, or on the FSO BB.

Apparently, one in five people in the world are Chinese. And there are five people in my family, so it must be one of them. It's either my mum or my dad. Or my older brother, Colin. Or my younger brother, Ho-Chan-Chu. But I think it's Colin. - Tim Vine.

Good post.

Question. Who is in charge of FSO now? I see you posting stuff like this Sled, but I thought Nef was in charge. I am not slighting Nef, but did he step down or away from head of FSO?

I think it is important for everyone to know who the head honcho is.
