The part of the McCain Feinglod bill which banned political ads 60 and 30 days before a Federal election has been repealed by the SCOTUS.
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070625/ap_on_go_su_co/scotus_campaign_finance_12The Bush administration urged the court to ban the ads, arguing that they were meant to influence the elections, not lobby the senators.
But Roberts said, "Discussion of issues cannot be suppressed simply because the issues also may be pertinent in an election. Where the First Amendment is implicated, the tie goes to the speaker, not the censor."Funny how this did not make front page.
When the ban was in place movinon.org was getting boat loads of cash from Soros to circumvent the process via the 527 loop hole. Now everyone is back on a level playing feild again and can say whatever they want about the candidates. Guess killing Conservitive Talk Radio is now going to become the rallying cry for the Dems since the gag portion of the bill along with the 527 loop hole for the KooK base was one of their strongest strategies.
This time around if the Dems can't kill Talk Radio, Talk Radio is going to talk right up till the last vote is cast all over the U.S.....and more citizens than ever are listening.....this is why the Dems, Lib's and KooKs are frothing at the mouth and screeching foul......
