SPITFIRE FIGHTER WING you outhere ?
Come and get me please !!!

Been flying since October 2006.
Joined this game because I'm a SPITFIRE admirer.
I don't like the ARCADE side of this game. Players do and make stupid comments(radio) because of their SCORES and RANKINGS on the roster !

I belonged to a fair and good squad at this time. They are a great bunch of guys BUT they TALK and TALK about scores and squad ranks and base captures etc.....

I don't give a Sh... about base captures.... !%@^!^!!!!
I love the companionship but I want to ESCORT bombers !
I want to fight/scrap with my SPITIX !
I want to fly realistic missions
I want to fly formations with many other SPITS !

I don't care who won the war !
I just want to fly the strike missions and bring them back !
I want some degree of discipline but not too serious ! Its a GAME !

At this time, I see myself as a good fighter pilot !
I have a good grasp of successfull bombing runs !
I have a good knowledge of formation flying skills !

I like the fair fights ! Not the 10 vs 2 or furballs !
I have an average of 50 to 100hrs a month ! E/T time
ALLIED C.O are you outhere ???

71 squadron RAF has about 60 members, you sound like our kind of guy...

we don't really do groundpounding (perhaps the occasional well planned base attack if there are no good fights going on). there are always plenty of guys online, we're a spit squad, although everyone is totally free to fly whatever they like. we have plenty of spit pilots along with a few corsair fans, some p51 pilots etc.

You fit the "profile" of the 71st pretty well in that we could care less about the "digital dirt" (but gladly help out those who do). We almost never fly squad ops but you'll always find a few of us up. When we do plan a true fighter sweep we often get 40 or more. The spit is the "official" squad plane but we fly everything in the game.  Last fighter sweep we did P-47D40, spit VIII among others. We have an interesting combination of "smart" {Redtop, Bat, SteffK, Niros(just afew)} and the suicide brigade {led by Brogy and I:)} who can usually be found down amonst the weeds and waves....all in all it makes for alot of fun. Feel free to tune to 171 (knight) and give us a shout....

just jump on channel 171 on knights in any of the arenas (but usually one of the late war arenas).

there's usually several people on at all times. if not though, wait for a bit or log off and check back a few hours later. just fly with the guys, and we'll send you an invite when someone with invite privs finds you online ;)

just stick around on the channel. we also have a private squad forum here that we can add you to.

Hey Phil, What target and Biggles say! :aok :D Tune Vox/Text to 171 and give a shout pretty much any time of the day.  I'm usually on Eastern times from 8pm to 10pm or so.

We have US members on both coasts, we have British members, continental European members, so we've pretty much got all the time zones covered. There should be somebody on at almost every time.

There've been a few times I've not seen anybody on the channel, but more often I've seen at least 3-4 that are there with me.
