Iranian response to UN sanctions about Nuclear aspirations
« on: July 25, 2007, 05:33:26 PM »
It seems that the UN has not really been very effective in this area with Iran and is specifically addressed by their president.

Quote: "Ahmadinejad said any further U.N. resolutions would not prevent Iran from obtaining nuclear technology.
"Let's say they issue resolution number 300 ... what will happen? It should be remembered that Iran is obtaining nuclear technology. They have to eventually accept that," he said."
DEFINITION OF A VETERAN
A Veteran - whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve - is someone who, at one point in their life, wrote a check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life."

If Iran wants nuclear weapons, I say let's send 'em some.

Which country helped Iran start a Nuke program? The United States in 1950

Which US officials were involved in the 1976 deal for Iran to purchase and operate a U.S.-built facility to extract plutonium from nuclear reactor fuel?

Dick Cheney, White House Chief of Staff, and Donald Rumsfeld, Secretary of Defense. At the time the US .gov said "introduction of nuclear power will both provide for the growing needs of Iran's economy and free remaining oil reserves for export or conversion to petrochemicals."... oops.

I think it just to funny, in a sad way, the very same guys who are crying about Irans nukes today, helped Iran acquire them.

December 1951:
The first usable electricity from nuclear fission is produced at the National Reactor Station, later called the Idaho National Engineering Laboratory.

Palavi coup was not until 1953.  It was not until 1959 that nuclear cooperation occured

Until the 1979 revoltution, the government of Iran (The Shah) was friendly to the west.

yes yes, and who supported Afghanistan when the ruskies were fighting them?

The reality is that political situations change.  You probably drive a Japanese car  :)

Even if you don't many do (though I won't).  Clearly, the world climate changes and we have to adapt.
