You can.

ALT-R toggles the flight recorder on and of. When you are recording, you see a red "R" in the upper left corner of your screen.

All your recorded films are located in your Aces High game folder (the standard path is c:/programs/HTC/Aces High II/films). You can view these films by either going there and doubleclick on a film, or by starting your Aces High Film Viewer first, wich is a seperate program located at the same location as your game. In both instances you have to end game first, you can't watch your films while game is still running.

Screenshots: Alt-S to take one, you find them in your Aces High program folder.

The conversion to .avi within the film viewer seems to be problematic for a lot of people, doesnt work for everyone.
Most people do use FRAPS to capture film from the film viewer.

Husky01 wrote a small guide how to capture & edit films with AH Film Viewer, FRAPS and Movie Maker: http://forums.hitechcreations.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=203376

Hey Cap..reference screen shots:

I believe they will save in your HTC folder.  Start---> programs--->HTC

To capture a screenshot use  ALT S

Reference AVI:

The film viewer is kinda broken and does not save as AVI consistently. Most of us who fart around with movie making use a program called FRAPS, Its available online with a free demo (although not the full program).

Have a look in the film's and screenshots section for more info on FRAPS.

Husky actually posted some good info there (not bad for a young fella!)

*DOH! Lusche beat me to it*

Oops. I forgot something.

Alt-S for screenshots does work only in game. To take screenshots in Film Viewer you take a different approach:
Once you are satified withyour on-screen view, hit your PrntScrn key to take a screenshot. This works both in the standard windowed as well as in the full screen mode. The picture is now in your windows clipboard.
To save and/or edit it, do now open a image editor of your choice - Windows' Paint will suffice. Press Ctrl-V to paste your picture. Now you can save it to any location you want.
