Just saw Dave Attel out here in Camp Victory, Iraq... he is frikin funny! And a couple months back Toby Keith was here. If any of you happen to see these guys shows and are even lucky enough to say hi to em, thank them for supporting us.

For anyone to take the time to support us and entertain us I say thankyou, its all the little things that makes the difference.

VWE,

Craig Morgan (country singer ~ "that's what i love about Sundays") is also a big supporter.

Last November he was here at Fort Hood for a care package stuffing party. He helped stuff 10,000 boxes, which were handed out (hopefully you were still here at that time & received one) to the Soldiers from Fort Hood as they filed through the final manifest.

Toby Keith has to be one of the most active performers doing the USO thing.  He was in country when I was in OIF-2, and IIRC did something during the OIF 2.5 deployment.  I think he tries to make every OIF and OEF rotation if he can.
Robin Williams was the big act I managed to catch while I was there.

Dave Attel in Iraq?  I'm going to have to look out for that one if he airs it.  Figured Special Order Number 1 would have kept him out of there, but Lebanese whiskey and beer and Russian vodka was always available I suppose.

Despite current politics, it's good to see these folks still going to entertain the troops.

My friend Wendy will be going back to Iraq in September playing with an all girl AC/DC band "Thunherstruck" or something, her 1st trip was 2 years ago.

Anyone in the LA area she'll be playing her solo act at the Cat Club; 8911 West Sunset Blvd in WeHo, directly across from the Hustler store... tomorrow night.

She puts on a rock'n show:

If you like slut-rock suicide girls type chicks, you can preview her CD:

Small world, x0847Marine.

This was 3 years ago.  Taken between July 1st and 5th, 2004 at Camp Victory, BIAP, Iraq (part called Camp Liberty now, at the PX).  My platoon got to "roadie" for ThundHERstruck! for a couple days while they operated out of Victory.  It was a great treat for us since we just came off a couple months of running convoy escorts for EODT's Iraqi drivers hauling munitions from Taji to Buckmaster.

Great girls and a lot of talent.

Cool, you should e-mail her to say hi, she does read all her e-mail and actually writes back to military dudes. She was in awe of the security the guys provided and has nothing but love for the troops.

Her talents been noticed by a few record labels and "Jihad Jerry" from Devo will be producing her upcoming CD after she gets back... Jerry is the coolest dude too, hilarious.

She rocked the Cat Club last night too, anyone in the LA area should check out one of her shows listed on myspace.

Probably should have PM'd me her address.

I'll give it a shot, and send all the ones I've got, but I'm not sure what the limit on hotmail accounts are to file size these days.  My camera did 5 mega pixels pics, so they are up there.  I'll send 1 pic per email, and spread it over a couple days to try and avoid jamming her email account.

I can also burn them all to CD and mail to her if she prefers that.
