FAA TO ESTABLISH 30-NM-RADIUS TFR OVER WACO ON MONDAY
AOPA is sending this message to advise pilots in the Waco, Texas,
area that the FAA has issued a notam restricting flight in the area
for President Bush's departure from his ranch on Monday, August 27.
The FAA has told AOPA that this 30-nautical-mile-radius temporary
flight restriction (TFR) over Waco is a result of multiple violations
of the 6-nm-radius TFR that had been in place in the past.
Great logic, too many people have violated a 6nm TFR, so let's make it bigger.
Is it my imagination, or is the office of the president indicating that they/he consider the US public the biggest threat? That's reassuring.
I also got a message that his visit to Seattle is going to shut down basically all the airports up there on Monday. Ridiculous. Absofreakin ridiculous.
