yep, but a trickle of brit farmers are setting up shop in nz even though the guaranteed prices for their products under the common agriculture policy in the eu means apparent easy money; versus no subsidies and the uncertainty of product prices which are based purely on market forces in nz.

My understanding of the reason is that theres a realisation in britain that farmers cant rely on the cap for their income forever, and that when that day comes they will still be stuck with smothering eu beurocracy and exspensive compliance regulations making it extremely hard for them to compete
