Typical Jet/Giant fan, who can't recognize talent if it was infont of his nose...Don't worry....Eli will come around.....suuuuuuuuure

Typical drone, who made a asinine assumption that since I live in NY I am a Jets/Giants fan.  I am neither, just a football fan who is observant enough to see when a pro sports team resorts to cheating they show their true colors.

I figured New England fans would be outraged that their team optioned to cheat, but instead I find the fans support the New England Management's decision to pursue this unethical conduct.  I guess the fans too lack in both character and integrity as much as the New England Patriot's organization themselves.

In case you don't know, the term "Pro" in Pro Sports is short for Professional.  There is nothing professional about cheating.  When a so-called professional team has to resort to that kind of tactic to best their opponent, then their existence is phony.

Pat yourselves on the back for it seems the deceiving New England Patriots and their dedicated fan base truly deserve each other.

Rock: Well that's where I got it, he's my son.
Powell: Really Rock, well I'd like to meet him.
Rock:  No ya wouldn't.

Ignorance is bliss. The pats didn't cheat, Goodell even said so, but the media is so bloodthirsty, they'll call it cheating anyway.

First of all, taping is not illegal, the rule states you cannot tape in the locker room, sideline or coaches booth. There are designated areas for taping. This is to make sure the coaching staff has no communication during the game, but they can use the film after the game. This is why coaches like Andy Reid, Sean Peyton, John Gruden, etc., cover their mouths with laminated paper so no one can read their lips. They know they are being filmed.

The league knew the pats would have a camera on the sideline, so they watched for eight minutes before grabbing the camera. They watched to see if there was any communication between the camera operator and the coaching staff. There was not, so there was no cheating, as the league has stated.

They got punished for having a camera in the wrong spot, which is against the rules, not cheating. But if you want to run with the librul media, all the power to ya.

btw, you jets fans have a new chant:

R-A-T-S  rats! rats! rats!

First of all you need major help with your  spelling, second of all breaking the rules IS cheating. The reason there are rules is to prevent one team from gaining any sort of advantage of the the other, be it by holding a defensive lineman, hitting the QB late, or filming the other teams signals. There is a HUGE difference between players memorizing the other teams signals and the team filming the signals. The reason coaches cover their mouths when they speak is not because "they know they are being filmed", because in most cases they are not, it is because they know that the other coach is looking right at him, trying to get a clue as to what the next play will be. Also in your post you have to very contradictory statements. First you say taping is not illegal, later in the post you say the Pats are being punished for taping. Which is it? Don't bring the media's LIBERAL bias into this as it is completely irrelevent. There is no "conspiricy" againts the Patriots, every other team in the league has at some point been caught doing something questionable. The reason the Patriots get caught more is because of one of two things; They do a bad job of hiding there ways, or they just simply cheat more and therefore are caught more.

I would be very surprised if any of what I've said gets through your thick New England skull (trust me I know about this, I am from MA). It would be in your best interest to stop posting on this subject, less you make yourself out to be more of a moron.

No it isn't, if you cuss a ref and get a penalty, you broke the rules, you didn't cheat

The reason there are rules is to prevent one team from gaining any sort of advantage of the the other

No it is not, you are allowed to film from designated areas. Why? So you can study the film to get an advantage! They allow it, can you get that through your thick skull?

There is a HUGE difference between players memorizing the other teams signals and the team filming the signals.

Again with the thick skull, you are allowed to fil them, just not where you can communicate with who is filming during the game

The reason coaches cover their mouths when they speak is not because "they know they are being filmed", because in most cases they are not, it is because they know that the other coach is looking right at him, trying to get a clue as to what the next play will be.

Wow, you really are from Maine. How does the first call tell you what the next call will be?

First you say taping is not illegal, later in the post you say the Pats are being punished for taping. Which is it?

lol, you are so from Maine, this is what I wrote

"First of all, taping is not illegal, the rule states you cannot tape in the locker room, sideline or coaches booth. There are designated areas for taping. This is to make sure the coaching staff has no communication during the game, but they can use the film after the game."

Do you understand, or are you having a Maine moment?

It would be in your best interest to put down the crack pipe and move out of Maine before the damage is permanent

First of all smart one if you read my location it says I am from Massachusetts, not Maine.
Cussing at a ref is cheating because the intnet behind any confrontation with an official is to try and get the call in question changed to your sides favor.
The reason you can only film from certain areas is so that the NFL can keep tabs on exactly what you are filming, so that you do not gain advantage over the other team by filming things that they cannot.
In case you did not notice in a football game htere is a small event called halftime. During this event it is very easy for a person who has studied the film made to relay information to the team. That is illegal and can best be prevented by the league giving guidlines as to where and how a film can be made, so that they can watch to see if the filmer is sending information indirectly to the team.
Since you want to nit-pick about word choice (to make up for your lack of arguement), coaches usually are in the process of communicating with the coordinators about the next play while the current play is happening. The opposing coach or one of his assistants is usualyy watching at the times he knows the play will be discussed, looking for either a chance to read lips or a physical tip-off, such as the the coach discussing something with a particular postional player such as a TE or RB to get an idea of what they can do against what the defense is giving them.
I'm sorry that you were not able to figure out my previous post as i had typed it assuming that you had common sense and the ability to reason. that was my mistake and in the future I shall address you as the dysfunctional dolt that you are.
And if you ever were to try and accuse me of being a crack addict in person as you have here, you would not live to see the next morning. So stop trying to be an internet tough guy.

yes, you couldn't make it where the better schools were so you had to go to Maine

lol! there's the Maine coming through! I see why you had to go there

The reason you can only film from certain areas is so that the NFL can keep tabs on exactly what you are filming, so that you do not gain advantage over the other team by filming things that they cannot.

Both teams can film what they want, including the head coach calling plays, that's why they cover their mouths, otherwise they wouldn't

In case you did not notice in a football game htere is a small event called halftime. During this event it is very easy for a person who has studied the film made to relay information to the team.

wow, I guess the damage is permanent, the reason why they film from those designated spots is so they can't show them to the coaching staff.

That is illegal and can best be prevented by the league giving guidlines as to where and how a film can be made, so that they can watch to see if the filmer is sending information indirectly to the team.

now you are getting it, I guess the damage isn't permanent. But that film can be used after the game. So, as the league has stated, there was no communication between the coaches and the camera operator, so there was no cheating.

Since you want to nit-pick about word choice (to make up for your lack of arguement), coaches usually are in the process of communicating with the coordinators about the next play while the current play is happening.

Since you don't know what you will call next until the first play is over, that comment is pretty stupid. You have a different call for 2nd and 10 than for 2nd and 1

And if you ever were to try and accuse me of being a crack addict in person as you have here, you would not live to see the next morning. So stop trying to be an internet tough guy.

lol! threaten to beat someone up over the internet and call that guy an internet tough guy! rof! lol, you've been served, sit down son

yes, you need to put the crack pipe down and get out of Maine

You sir, are a handsomehunk. First you insult my school, which is regarded as the best in this country for my major. Then you proceed to give insults instead of an actual argument. I will not continue to deabte this issue as it is clear you are incapable of logical thought, nor do you understand football at all. I am willing to bet that you have never even played the sport.
You don't seem to get the point that I take being called a crack addict very seriously and will not stand for it. You are the one trying to be a tough guy, insulting people whom you do not agree with. Thats so hard to do sitting on your butt behind a computer. The point I was making is that you would never have the guts to call me that in person and if you did you would relize how insulting that is. If you continue to make insults you will be reported, there is no reason for you to drag a simple disscusion down to that level in the first place.

What's that? inbreeding?

Then you proceed to give insults instead of an actual argument.

If you read your first post, you will find yourself a hypocrite. Then you got pwned at your own game(insults) and then threaten to beat me up(I hope you didn't kick your dog too)

I will not continue to deabte this issue as it is clear you are incapable of logical thought, nor do you understand football at all. I am willing to bet that you have never even played the sport.

I have been following and playing football since 1976, which is probably before you were born.

You don't seem to get the point that I take being called a crack addict very seriously and will not stand for it.

I don't like being called a moron either, but it's the internet and you're from Maine, I take it with a grain of salt

You are the one trying to be a tough guy, insulting people whom you do not agree with.

Again, you started with the name calling, got owned having it come back at you, then threatened someone sitting behind a computer. Are you getting this or have you and Maine become one? ( wait, unity, it's all making sense now)

you continue to make insults you will be reported, there is no reason for you to drag a simple disscusion down to that level in the first place.

You dragged it down, got owned, now you are going to report me? rof! your poor dog
