The fella on the left, Howard Moon (played by Julian Barrett), is supposed to be remarkably like myself in demeanour so I've been told. Jazz Maverick, Arctic explorer and zoo-keeper.

From the TV series The Mighty Boosh.
War! Never been so much fun. War! Never been so much fun! Go to your brother, Kill him with your gun, Leave him lying in his uniform, Dying in the sun.

It is like I would have said.. jews are funny and bright and kinda overthink stuff and everyone would say "you can't generalize" but... there you are...bigger than life.

That's a good stereotype, Lazs. Accurate and undeniable. However, today, somebody else told me that jews were also stingy and tricky--also accurate and undeniable.

Personally, I'm not bothered by either characterization--either your positive one or that other person's negative one. Where you run into problems, generally, is when people get pissed that you called them on being what they are, and commiteed the crime of not flattering them in the process.

Generalizations are generally accurate. If they weren't they wouldn't be generalizations... they'd be misconceptions. It's how people react to these generalizations that defines the process of generalizing. I personally accept generalization in the interest of efficiency. More often that not, I'm neither surprised nor dissappointed.
