If it's a family emergency or important info you might get assistance through the Red Cross.
DEFINITION OF A VETERAN
A Veteran - whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve - is someone who, at one point in their life, wrote a check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life."

If it's not an emergency, you can go through their unit FRG. They won't give you his info ~ but could pass to him your info w/a message to contact you.

*frg means: family readiness group*

chances are you wont find him directly! more likely he will be notified of someone searching for him.  most iraq assighments will not be devulged even to family members. but contact can be made thru red cross, and chain of comand thru stateside duty stations. chances are he  has a stateside duty station and you would know that location if you were family or close friend.:aok
