i had mine set up as

1. trigger: fire all
2.weapon select secondary
3. wep
4.fire secondary (drop bombs)
5. flaps down
6.flaps up.

i then remaped my keyboard so that
a= look down
s=  look up
d= check six
z = zoom
x= auto level mode
c = level speed mode {climb}
v= angle mode
r= range vox
t=transmit channel
kept my left hand in the same general area of keyboard,unless i was using the throttle i had my bird ring figner over look up my bird finger over check six and used my thumb for wheel breaks.

was very nice.
but i up graded to x52 and now have to learn to fly all over again cause its action is so light,
i may just end up using the throttle and go back to my st290 if it p---es me off too much

funny i never really had all that many problems keeping my eyes on the opponent. after i got good with it anyway.
moreso it was the third or fourth guy that kills me.
if you do hapen to get the 290 id strongly sugest remaping your keybard to make things moreacesable and still keep your fingers over the up view.

:aok :aok
good luck with which ever u buy.

I started out with an ST290, had it for 3 yrs. I upgraded to an X52 2 christmas's ago. After my ST290 started to wear out (I brought it to my friends house so I could play there) I bought an AV8R. My AV8R had a loose wire that I didn't find out until recently, so I dusted off my 'Ole ST290 and it still plays fine.
