For Zmeg. I'm pretty sure it was you I met over V12 yesterday. Well fought sir.

Here's my version of events, even though I realize I was outclassed from the beginning. (Copied and pasted from my squad forum)

"Did manage to get some stick time in yesterday. And low and behold I got involved in a merge. Here's how it went down.

AvA arena. There was some action going on at V11 (in the south) in which a Spit was lousing everything up. I sortied from A7 in a 109-E4, climbing to approximately 7k, heading SW. Radar showed the Spit inbound to V12. Adjusting course, I spotted the Spit and took up a lag pursuit. By the time I caught up, the Spit had downed V12's radar.

At this point the Spit definately had spotted me, and climbed out of his bombing attack and reversed to me with an Immelman.

The first merge happened head on, with the Spit passing to my left. I held course waiting for the Spit's first move, which was a hard right. To counter, I pulled a High Yo-Yo to the right, putting us into the second merge.

Again, we passed head on, again to the left. This time the Spit Climbed and turned to the right, which is where I believe I made my mistake, by trying a similar move to the right. The Enemy Spit had to have been a Spit IX, as it had more E and got on my six, knocking out my engine.

I then attempted to ditch, however, due to the obscured windshield  (oil) I did not see the hedgerow In front of me until the last minute and could not break in time.

Wish i would have had the camera on. It would have been good for a training session."

Zmeg, would love to hear your side of the fight, so I can understand what I did wrong.

Again, great fight. Had a blast going up against you!
