Many of the people who fly FSO do not have the ability to open .docx documents.

If you use MS Office 2007, please use the saveasPDF  plugin from microsoft to save documents as .pdf before you send them out.  This will make it very simple to open as most have acrobat reader, and if they don't is free to download.

The saveasPDF plug in can be found here, its free as well.

You can also download the Compatibility Pack  from Microsoft which will allow you to open docx in older versions of Word. Which is free.

This is true, but alot of people do not use MS Office, and MS works(ships commonly with PC's as a wordproccessing program) doesn't have a combatability pack that I know of.

I could be wrong though.

no your right...i cant download most the orders sent these days because of the format.i can see them but cant copy them.

i know i could pay the cash and download a bunch o stuff and make it work,cange my preferences and lalala...but i dont need it,and dont want it,exept to see when people send orders in a bad format.....
