They're DEMANDING to vote?
« on: March 07, 2008, 08:59:37 AM »
It's been said we have three brains, one cobbled on top of the next. The stem is first, the reptilian brain; then the mammalian cerebellum; finally the over developed cerebral cortex.  They don't work together in awfully good harmony - hence ax murders, mobs, and socialism.

In California, it takes ~6 years just to get the Green Card and another 4 years to be eligible as a US citizen.

Waiting time is shorter in states with smaller population, but I think they don't welcome foreigners/immigrants (and dogs :P)

Perhaps they ought to take the whole lot of these ungrateful turdbags applications and put them in the shredder.  How do you like that.

They should have to live in the US as a citizen for five years before they are allowed to vote as well.
I regret doing business with TD Computer Systems.

Let em vote. Just don't count the votes as valid.

:t
Apparently, one in five people in the world are Chinese. And there are five people in my family, so it must be one of them. It's either my mum or my dad. Or my older brother, Colin. Or my younger brother, Ho-Chan-Chu. But I think it's Colin. - Tim Vine.

They've applied for citzenship in the accepted manner. If they've been waiting for several years, have been paying taxes and contibuting to this nation then let'm in. If they're a bunch of freeloading bums send them home. I have issues w/indiv who want to become Americans and have been waiting patently to do so while working.paying taxs etc.

Hell, lets keep them and send all the free loaders to Mexico....
Of course, I only see what he posts here and what he does in the MA.  I know virtually nothing about the man.  I think its important for people to realize that we don't really know squat about each other.... definately not enough to use words like "hate".

I'm submitting my documents for citizenship this year and although I know I have no hope of getting the citizenship before the election I sure wish I could've done this earlier. Really wanted to vote for Ron Paul.

Although I do not agree with this lawsuit forcing the gov. to a deadline to fulfill the applications for citizenship, I believe that the gov. should at least be responsible enough to process these applications a lot faster.

It takes about 5 YEARS for citizenship documents to go through. It's ridiculous considering most people have to wait 7 years on average just to get a permanent resident green-card. I was very fortunate my mother was a US born Citizen and my family has Seminole ancestry... and because of that I received my green-card in less than a year..and perhaps i'll be receiving my citizenship just as fast. But for people who come in as 100% foreigners and do the green-card process lawfully and apply for citizenship I find it insulting to have to wait so long.

Especially when the illegal immigrants get green-cards and citizenship papers processed a lot faster, by different means.
