That anchor was a real hoot.
The profanity filter made it sound like I was amused by the anchor.  I wasn't. I was using profane language to describe him... and it got changed to "hoot."

Yeah, the anchor was really unprofessional. Regardless of the reporter's competence, the anchor should have kept his comments private. He'll not be anyone's boss anytime soon with conduct like that.

Either side should have disengaged before it got to that point.  "blah blah teach you how to be a reporter"  Response: "(laughing it off casually) ha ha, It's definitely a heated issue.  We'll continue to cover the story as it develops.  Back to you, Jim" or something like that.
