« on: April 27, 2008, 11:12:35 PM »
Hello ladies and gents! Today, I have a question about Scaling and Dampening. What is it, How does it make the game better/worse, and how should I Scale/Dampen my joystick?

Thanks in advance,

set a small ammount of Deadband on your rudder and elevator axis but leave the roll clean, imo.
set 0% Dampning on all axis. Dampning is not good unless you have shocking stick to cope with.

Deadband  - creates a no input zone for a % of the sticks movement. if you set the slider just above the bottom you will smooth out the twitches all sticks have on twisty rudder and elevators.

Damper - delays inputs. say you push full rudder left it would delay the rudder actualy reaching full deflection by some time after your stick reached it.

Scaling - is down to what feels good for you. find someone else who has you stick and ask them what they scale at.
And I don't know much, but I do know this. With a golden heart comes a rebel fist.
