Communication and Event troubles
« on: October 30, 2000, 05:52:00 AM »
First off i am a member of the CM team but this purely my personal oppinion and i'm in no way talking for any other ember of the group.

It seems that in the past weeks there was a SEVER lack of communication between groups holding Scenarios.
There were the "official" ones and the Med Leage (HST) run by players.

It seems that a lot of people loose their enjoyment for historical Scenarios over all the Confusion the MEd Leag (HST) has causeed in conjunction with an arena setup for a differnet event, and several other things that went wrong.

my take on this is that:

a) CLEAR communication is to be established between 3rd partys running Events and the CM group (read that as Vermilion, the Chief CM)

b) CMs and Assistant CMs NEVER EVER fly on one side of an event, that leads only to grief and loss of trust by the other side.

c) There has to be an established source of information from where you can get the information about your event. This source (webpage) MUST be linked on the official HTC Events Calender! So we don't have a post with info here and a few mails with info there.

d) Event Schedule has to be coordinated between the 3rd Party and the CM team (by putting it on the Callender)

I hate to see people turning their backs to scenarios because these points are not met and everybody is frustrated by the resulting chaos.

hi bro  ,

a) actually I am  in contact w/Daddog and also talked with Vermillion with the main aim to avoid scheduling conflicts w/official events...Dadog told me to let the schedule as it is for now.

b)Now i agree. I previously tought that in this peculiar type of event, where COs and GL had more freedom than usual it was different, but it is not.

c) I posted on CMs group BBS my request to add HST to the official calendar about 1 week ago.

d) DW6 already asked, not all events can be officialized, especially an experimental  event like this.

e) There was an e?
