The CV is moving forward at 35-40mph depending on what it's doing.

That means you have that much wind passing around you as you sit on the deck.

Lowering full flaps is a giant airbrake and will push you backwards faster than if you tried it without these sails.

The planes in AH have wheel brakes that automatically kick in below a certain throttle setting. You have to throttle up just enough to turn that off (allowing you to roll backwards) but not enough to actually produce forward motion. It's a small window, but easy to reach with practice.
There's your problem.
I can take off of a CV fine without backing up, and I can backup perfectly fine as well. The only times I back up is when I'm carrying a full load in a -4 hog or Chog and I don't want to risk accidently dumping my perk ride in the water. Other times is when I rearm say a P47 or P38 with a heavy load as well. It's quite easy to take off with any plane on a CV when you have that extra deck space.

I never knew that.  All I have to do is chop throttle when rolling down runway to stop.  I used to use the brakes.
Time's fun when you're having flies.

Unless you're on a specialised map like the one we used for the Japanese scenarios that had the rearm pad in the middle.
It was tragic yet funny watching the carnage that ensured when people landed to rearm only to taxy into the acks at the end of the runways :O
