Attack field captures

How does one get a capture in attack mode. I was in a goon with troops in the air when I got shot down, and before the maproom was destroyed I took for in attack mode and was in the air when I got the capture. But it didnt show as attack capture...but bomber capture.

Let me get this right, You dropped troops in a C47 (bomber in game) but when you actually got the capture, you had already landed/bailed/killed, and you were in an attack aircraft when the troops took, and you received bomber perks and your wondering why?  thats one long run-on sentence

If so I would say since you dropped the troops from a bomber then you get the perks as a bomber. Even though you were in an attack aircraft the troops came from a bomber so you get the perks under bomber(c47). Your attack plane had nothing to do with the capture therefore it gets no perks for it, but the bomber did so you get bomber perks.....I think that came out right.

I think it is your squad that will get the capture. At least that is what I heard.

That is correct Klingan. It will show up in the squads stat page under attack capture, but it will not show up under the individual that actually did the attack capture.

bingo if it does show up on your stats it will only be there for a day then it goes to the squad stats. if your not in a squad it goes to your bomber stats

ok, that's fine, but why is there a field capture catagory in the players game stats? A year or two ago I'm sure I had a attack capture,and believe that's how I did it.
I know that if you're in a GV or goon and tower out or get killed while all your troops are out and running, and re-up before the map room is destroyed, you'll get the capture in whatever mode your in at the time....except for fighter and field guns.
I haven't found anything in the AH2 links or forums about this, but would sure like to.

This a common practice for those in the know. De-ack v-base take troops via gv let troops run tower out. Then jump into a bomber of some kind prior to troops reaching map room & if they take you get a bomber capture. You don't think those people with 10 or more bomber captures did it flying in a goon? No this is how a lot of captures are done with people with a high amount of bomber captures.
