Editing an Existing Mission
« on: June 10, 2008, 10:19:49 AM »
Question for the experts. In order to practice for June's FSO, I modified the Rowdy's Revenge mission into two different missions, 4 F4F's vs 2 A6M2's and 4 P-39D's (P-400's) vs. 2 A6M2's. And they both run just fine. However, there's not enough time in the engagement area. How do I use the editor to increase the available ammount of time in combat? Very frustrating to get half way through the fight only to have the remaining fighters dissapear and then get warped back to base.

There are 2 ways that I know of and a combination will get you the most time.

1) you can move the waypoints around to make the distance between waypoints longer.

2) you can go into mission properties and slow down the speed of the aircraft between waypoints. Be careful with this one though, you will want to keep your speed up in the warp segment that gets you to the fight or it will toughen the fight a bit.

Both methods are very effective and work very well when used together if you put a little thought into it. Also remember to check the fuel loadout to make sure that you will have enough fuel to finish the fight as well.

good luck
