Special Events Everyday of the Week
« on: June 25, 2008, 11:29:21 AM »
I am a big fan of FSO's snapshot's and what not.  I think we could have a special event everyday of the week.  Perhaps Tank Tuesday, Saturday Night Dogfights were two teams of historical fighters face off(for example P-51 versus 109G-14), or Monday Mayhem.  Monday Mayhem would be were you do so what if scenarios.  Perhaps the American fighters upped to face the attacking Japanese, or the Germans don't divert to attacking London in the BoB and have the British on their last string.  The BoB has lasted for a year now and new planes are coming into service such as the spit V and the 109f-4.

That would be fun. If we could get enough people to participate in it.  :rock

Do you have any idea how much work that is?

Thought not.

CM crew works long and hard to bring us what we currently have.
Adding more events means adding a lot to each CM's work load. (As I very much doubt that HTC would agree to doubling the numbers of CM's)

You going to pay them out of your pocket?

Thought not.

The AvA is getting close to that now, if you log in during prime time. No reason it shouldn't be 24/7 at the rate it's growing.
Easy in-game again.

Ghosth you have a point about that I never thought about that.  I guess we couldn't do it my originally suggested way.  Also it sounds like you are being a bit offensive no need for that.  Possibly you could reserve the SEA for a certain time period to host your own event.  You might have to pay a little bit though to reserve it.  Also I think Hitech has enough money with atleast 4000 players a month to hire some CMs.

edit:  Also I might try the AvA soem Easycor that would be fun.  I tried it some but lack of numbers drove me away.

spit16nooby, I don't think he was trying to be offensive at all - I'd guess he just thought that you were implying that it wasn't too hard doing what they do.

Also:

CM's: thank you very much for all the hard work.  I've read some posts in the past which showed just how much work it is to do what you do, and how much effort you put into it.  :salute

And, what in the world does 'CM' stand for??  I think I found out once, but I forgot shortly afterwards...

He stated ages ago he is keeping his company the size that it is.

CM stands for Campaign Manager. We're all volunteers, the CMs for the SEA, the AvA Staff, the Trainers (Ghosth) and the Terrain Team.

And Thanks!
