Is this a sell out?
« on: July 16, 2008, 12:59:22 PM »
or is this the beginnings of something perhaps far worse?

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1035420/Why-Christian-doctrine-offensive-Muslims-Archbishop.html

Is this a bowing down to Allah and the Muslims?

Are our women ready for beatings, avoiding beatings upon the face is proper IIRC.

Four wives?

Praying LOTS.............

or is it about something else?

IMHO this guy is about RELIGION and maintaining CONTROL of others but IMHO he is NOT about Christianity or Islam.

I could be wrong BUT Islam and Christianity CAN'T become combined or mixed and still be or remain Islam or Christianity.

So my take on this is....

ALARM BELLS RINGING, ALARM KLAXON'S GOING BONKERS

etc...

this is not about religion IMHO it is about getting and maintaining CONTROL over the masses.
It's been said we have three brains, one cobbled on top of the next. The stem is first, the reptilian brain; then the mammalian cerebellum; finally the over developed cerebral cortex.  They don't work together in awfully good harmony - hence ax murders, mobs, and socialism.

"He told Muslim leaders that faith has no connection with political power or force, and that Christians have in the past betrayed this idea." --quoted from the article.

But this very sentiment goes against the Koran's teachings. Religion and political structure are intertwined in the Muslim faith. Another example of a fundamental misunderstanding, and little apparent desire to start understanding.

The guy should probably talk less and listen more.

I've read the Koran. The doctrine that God had a love-child with some Jewish babe is addressed, and yeah, it does get their hackles up for some reason. Doesn't fit with their conception of God or something.

BTW, the phraseology I used was deliberately calculated to be offensive to Christians, but guess what? No one cares! No one goes bowing and scraping to Christians, because they don't riot and blow stuff up when you offend them.

Funny he should mention homosexuals. We all know how well they are treated under when a literal interpretation of Old Testament-type laws becomes the laws of the state.

Virtually everything someone does is highly offensive to someone else. My breakfast of bacon&eggs is offensive to multiple religions. Should we take bacon out of the stores? The question becomes, why do Muslims rate any special treatment in this regard? And the sad answer is that the West has become so cowardly that will bury our heads in the sand and cave* because some Muslims are willing to make tulips of themselves over the matter.

It is so funny to me to see some "Christian" bowing and scraping to Islam. If there is one religion with a worse history of conversions by the sword and brutality in its past than Christianity, its Islam. And here we have this banana apologizing for being supposedly offensive to a religion that STILL does these things.

*South Park reference deliberate.

its the same old garbage.

"The Archbishop said that faiths which reject the use of violence should learn to defend each other in their mutual interest."

All one needs to understand is that the word "defend" is interchangeable and has the exact same meaning, in this context, as the word "violence"... typical fanatacist double speak.

I think the Jews found Jesus offensive too. May have been related to his declaration that "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." I can see how this would offend some. Won't be Christianity without it though.

If you study Islam Iron, the part they find most offensive about the Christian story is that God fathered a man.

Islam sees Allah as being abstract and impersonal, and does not anthromorphize/humanize God like Christianity does.
