crash relating to full arena message
« on: August 18, 2008, 04:20:56 PM »
Steps to reproduce:

Boot AH
double click <online arenas>
log in

Double click on a full arena where you would not be allowed to log in
DO NOT dismiss the "arena full" message box
repeatedly double click on the full arena
Now you have numerous "arena full" message boxes up...

After a number of times AH crashes to desktop.  I've reproduced this bug several times in a row.  The last time I counted the number of times I tried to get into a full arena and it crashed after the 43rd attempt.

Seems like operator error, not a bug.

Stop trying to enter a full arena.  Duh!   :D

"Doctor, it hurts when I do this."

"Then stop doing that!"

heh. Not to belittle your find. Every bug should be reported, I'm sure HTC can deal with it during one of the patches.

Crashes shouldn't happen.  Any report of a reproducible crash and the steps to do it is very valuable to us.  Obviously, the problem is easily avoided but that's not the point in posting it.  This crash bug may be isolated to this sequence of events but it's also possible that this is just one of many ways to trigger this crash.  We don't know how deep it goes until we troubleshoot it but we need to recreate it to troubleshoot it.  Hence, the value of posting a reproducible crash bug.
