Ahem, as many will remember. I have a tendency of mis-typing also and labeling things wrong. As you well know half the time I refer to west as east and so forth.
Writing objectives and design for an FSO is a very labor intensive and errors will creep in. Whether they are typos or over sites. I am no more free of this than any other Admin CM, which has been pointed out during my events. You just need to look back to Guadalcanal to see issues that I also had, not to mention the Aleutians where people were worried over the weather and planeset match up (not to mention the performance of the B25C). I have had my share of issues also and mostly likely will have issues in Tunisia or Bust in October.
Please remember that ALL admin CMs (me, Nefarious, Stoney, and Squire) do our best to provide all players a fun time and design a solid event. It is a lot of work to do so and compromises have to be made for playability. Then even after dealing with typos, we have to adjust the event as it goes because sometimes things don't work the way we expected them to do. And then lastly it is a living an event .. when you have 400-500 people involved you can only guess at the outcome or what people will do. It is sort of like predicting hurricanes (yes, I live in South Florida so I can use the metaphor). It is by no means an exact science and we all we do is frame the event and then let you loose on it and see how it performs. Many times we are surprised as the players are at the outcome or things that CiCs and squads do.
None of the admin CMs are perfect and all of us have little hiccups, which we do our best to address, and we do our best to provide an event that the majority will enjoy. Unfortunately since there is free will involved on the players part and there are over 400 of you sometimes things don't go well for some people. We try to guard against that and minimize it but it happens (as does my typos in objectives and such).
So I would appreciate it that all players keep this in mind. No admin is out to screw up a setup, the fun factor, etc. .. we all mistakes, we all adjust events during the event, because we want it to be fun for everybody (even though with 400+ different opinions you can't make everyone happy or ensure combat action for everybody .. but it is our goal).
