Naval cannon need better land impact visuals

The 8-Inch Naval cannon need a much larger impact flash and debris field upon detonation on land.  The water splash looks great.

Also need the ability to swap the prox fused rounds on the 5-inch batteries with HE rounds for land targets.  We had closed to within 2000k of field at waters edge and the PNZRs chewed us up.  The 8-inch cannon were hard to spot and the damned 5-inch stuff just went puffy when ranged in on the PNZRs.

not to mention the fact that all 3 rounds from the 8" land within inches of eachother, if you dont get a direct hit you dont get crap.

There are HE rounds for the 5in. I used them the other day off a CV. Bigger explosions would be nice. It's hard for the spotters and gunners to tell where the rounds are going.

You notice that you can see all tracers except for yours?

I agree totally. I can't ever tell where I am hitting with these guns.

The blast/smoke cloud should almost be the size of a hanger, but yet you can hardly see where the rounds hit.

Agree completely on all counts.

At least a bit more dispersion would be nice for the 8" guns.

Ground strikes with 8" & 5" guns are almost invisible except at point blank range. Makeing it virtually impossible to spot targets.

Smoke, (esp slightly diff colored smoke for diff turrets) or a better explosion effect would make a great difference.

Water sprites are excellent, and could be used on land only showing a bit more dirty grey???

Last would be the addition of a "Salvo" command. Let us fire each gun one at a time for rangeing, then "salvo" all guns once in range, or bracketed.

That sounds like a great idea, and I hope it would be easy to implement.

i like the salvo of barerels idea too make it where ya can fire the 1 then 2 then 3
then the horrid lack of dispersion wont be so evident.
It would be alot nicer if the 5"guns were the same for the same reasons too.
