obama's friends
« on: September 25, 2008, 05:16:43 PM »
obama has some interesting friends, a big supporter of obama is jim johnson. From 1991 to 1998, he served as chairman and chief executive officer of the Federal National Mortgage Association (Fannie Mae), the quasi-public organization that guarantees mortgages for millions of American homeowners. Previously, he was vice chairman of Fannie Mae (1990-1991) and a managing director with Lehman Brothers (1985-1990). An Office of Federal Housing Enterprise Oversight (OFHEO) report from September 2004 found that, during Johnson's tenure as CEO, Fannie Mae had improperly deferred $200 million in expenses. This enabled top executives, including Johnson and his successor, Franklin Raines, to receive substantial bonuses in 1998. A 2006 OFHEO report found that Fannie Mae had substantially under-reported Johnson's compensation. Originally reported as $6-7 million, Johnson actually received approximately $21 million.

johnson was on obama's VP search committee now he is raising money and support for obama. But we all know obama is the "change we can believe in" and this mess is all bush's fault.

obama has some very interesting friends.

Best you can do? People who know him?

I can do better. McCain's own campaign manager, Rick Davis, was getting paid as a consultant to Freddie Mac until last month.

McCain tried to lie (coward that he is), about it. Reporters called him out:

http://www.nytimes.com/2008/09/24/us/politics/w24davis.html?_r=3&pagewanted=2&hp&oref=slogin

After the Freddie Mac nationalization, McCain tried to "clarify". He said Rick Davis hadn't been associated with Freddie Mac since 2006.

He lied. Again. Coward.

Now this all begs the question if Rick Davis knew what kind of trouble Freddie Mac was in, for all these years, making $15k a month, and did nothing.

So - I raise your Jim Johnson, and I give you McCain's own campaign manager.

Check and mate.

Dos,

You sound like you are very left of center and need McCain to be the next Bush lied solders died coolaid drink. The New York times has only submitted an interpritation of the time line based on Liberal bloggers must be right because they are super lit over this.

I doubt McCain would post a response to the article if it could be shown as factual anything you have read.

By the way the Chicago Suntimes has posted Obama is being investigated by Il for giving a state grant to a campain volinter from 2000 who helped in his bid to the state senate. Seems the money dissapered and the community project it was given for never built. They traced 2/3 of the $100k to the wife of the contractor who was the volinteer. Only 40 days to go and the Messaha's political life is being looked at......guess Obama learned his community organizations really well......

This is like the old joke that voters are harsher to their beer brewer if he has an outage, than their politicians after raising their taxes. Death and taxes are certain but, fun and sex is only now.
