Is this possible?
« on: June 12, 2009, 12:52:57 PM »
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3dnbm0vGM0E

I'm trying to find the name of the Audio used in this Film. Does anyone know the name and composer of it? Also, is it possible to record the audio from the film using fraps and importing it into a film? Just the audio only?

Thanks!

I've never used fraps on youtube, but you should be able to record the sound, then convert to MP3 or something.

Sounds like Hunt for the Red October or something. I know I've heard this before.

Great song!  This one is from the movie "Crimson Tide" by Hans Zimmer
The Hunt for Red October came out first and I think Mr. Zimmer was inspired by that previous Submarine soundtrack. :)

If you absolutely have to record it from youtube buy yourself a male-to-male cable. Plug one end into the speaker port, the other into the line-in port. Open up some sound editing software such as Audacity. Select, "Line in" (In Audacity: from the drop-down menu located at the top-right of the application) as the recording source. Now turn up the system volume all the way, start the video, and start recording.

Some people have sound-cards which allow them to record any audio playback, others don't. This takes into account the person that doesn't have that feature.

That's what I was referencing when I said, "Some people have sound-cards which allow them to record any audio playback."
