Pedals
« on: March 06, 2009, 10:18:33 AM »
Waiting on my first set of pedals to get here from mr fedex. Used a twisty stick this whole time. What have you guys done to get used to them easier? Getting excited for a new toy!

Practice, practice, practice.

FYI, if your desk is short, your knees may bump into it, even if you are not tall.

Pretty much.  Or go into the TA and announce that you're fair game for anyone wanting to practice gunnery.  Then try your best to work them to your front.

Practice practice practice.

Go TA and go through all the usual and unusual maneuvers to get acquainted with them. And don't expect wonders in the MA... it may take some time to getting fully used to it.
And don't wear shoes. (Yes, I'm serious  :))

After almost 12 years of twisty stick it took me many many month's to get use to them. In fact I wouldn't say it was a natural move yet. Still I would never go back to twisty stick.

Lusche is right, don't wear shoes. I don't mind slippers though :)

Keep them anchored to the floor with Velcro.
