Raiders and T Owens
« on: March 05, 2009, 03:22:23 PM »
For a non Raider fan like me, Al Davies and Owens would be a match made in Heaven from an entertainment point of view, now that Owens has been cut from the Cowboys, surely the Raiders will step in and provide us hours of entertainment now?

As a Raider fan I can see this happening.  Package him with Pac-Man and Tank and it would be perfect.  Maybe pac man will put out a hit on Al Davis and we (the Raider Nation) can have our team back.

The Titans need a big time play maker outside. They should offer him a one year deal for about 2 million and tell him to _____ Off if he starts making trouble. That way it wouldn't be a big hit on the salary cap and they would at least get a decent player for the money.

There will be alot of teams interested for just that reason.  They will offer him a contract that is incentive heavy, and when he starts (not if) up with the usual shenanigan's they will say Thanks but no Thanks.

Seriously, I'd rather do an 0-16 Lions season than know Owens was rostered on my team.

They acquired Nate Washington from the Steelers, should bring you guys a pretty good deep threat, He was the third Wide out for Pittsburgh but was known to make huge plays when it mattered most.
There must also be a flyable computer available for Nefarious to do FSO. So he doesn't keep talking about it for eight and a half hours on Friday night!

I'm just hoping that good ol' Al Davies jumps in and goes for Owens, from a 49ers fans perspective, this would be priceless :D

TO is nothing but a arrogant, over paid, show boater that think NLF and people rivals around him.  He has a big mouth that will get himself into trouble normatter where he will go.  Good luck to who ever takes him.

I love the message in the story:

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090305/ap_on_sp_fo_ne/fbn_cowboys_to_cut

Quote
"I know it takes a lot of pressure off Romo," Hurd said. "A guy like him demands the ball and you want to get him the ball. Now he can look at all of us and see which one is open on any given play

There was an earlier stroy that said the main reasons for the cut were salary and locker room disruption

There's no way owens would make it. Just as they traded moss for acting like a child, and benched several others for having egos. As for entertainment, davis would probably die of a heart attack 1st.

If the Raiders take either TO or Pacman, I'm officially a Giants fan.

Pacman may not get another shot at the NFL but no one knows for sure. He is too much off the field trouble for very little on field talent. However TO is on field talent with almost zero off the field trouble; his biggest problem was the other little clique in the locker room in Dallas...Romo/Witten that created a bunch of issues that should never have come up. Besides if they got rid of Romo they would probably be better off anyway. One good part of a season doesn't make a career.
