Great James Brown & Pavarotti duet, need Italian translation
« on: March 28, 2009, 09:24:39 PM »
Incredible performance!  :aok  Who'd have ever thought these two would sing together. I've always wondered what Luciano was singing. Could one of you Italian guys help me out?

Gian, you out there?  :)

Thanks Anodizer. I wanted the translation, but I also thought some of you might really appreciate seeing it. The two of them are awesome together. :aok

That is impressive.  I had seen that not too long ago while seeing the different performances of "Nessun Dorma".  btw... check out 'Man O War's redition of ND.  Awesome.   :aok

James Brown is truely a legend.  There will never be another.  All this "R&B" crap coming out today cant come close to his generation of of music.

Pavaroti needs no introduction nor commentary.

Yeah, it freaks my friends out that a guy raised on Sabbath and Zeppelin would actually like anything from opera. "Nessun Dorma" had me hooked the first time I heard it, long before I knew the translation, or the "Turandot" story behind it.
I like Pavarroti's rendition of "Caruso" too, although it can be a bit too "operatic. Not nearly as wooden as hearing him do "Singing in the Rain" though. :)
