Podcast autodownload software?
« on: May 16, 2009, 01:24:40 PM »
Here's my situation. I've become addicted to a number of podcasts, originally through iTunes software. Recently went through a clean install to sweep up several years of progressive crap that had slowed my boot time unacceptably...and now I'd like to avoid the baggage that comes with the iTunes software. Just don't want to start slowing stuff down again.

What I'd like to do is find a way that podcasts will automatically download to my machine into folders I direct, so I can later choose what to syncronize to my mp3 player. I've got several news feeds that I live bookmark, but when I tried to set up RSS feeds it ended up creating bookmarks that connected with streaming links -- not what I'm after.

I use Firefox, so extensions are an option; or separate software, if low profile.

Any suggestions would be appreciated!
