Track IR 4 Pro Profiles
« on: May 09, 2009, 04:04:17 PM »
Any Track IR 4 Pro users willing to share an Aces High Profile, from trying the flight profile built in, perhaps simpler would be better for me<shrugs> the flight profile that came with it was so difficult for me to control, wasn't worth the time.

This is the profile that I use, of course, you may or may not like it.  I have the center key set to the pinky button of my stick, and the pause set to the mouse button on my throttle.  It's a fairly aggressive profile, but you can see around your plane pretty well with it.   Just today I've started messing with the beta software for TIR, and if you're doing that, the TIR4 profile may not work.  In the 5 beta software I've just made a new profile for it.  Hope this helps you some.

Are you perhaps using a Saitek X52 setup?

Nope, I use a CH rig, stick throttle and pedals.

I found the stock set up unusable as well. Here is the one I use-it's pretty smooth.I borrowed it from a website and tweaked it a bit for my own preferences.

I use all CH gear as well, but that should have zero impact on TrackIR-it's based on your head movements;not joystick inputs.I do however suggest you map one button on your stick for a straight ahead view and one for a dead six view. You can press and hold either one when you're shooting (straight ahead),or checking your six.You can move your head up and down, sideways, and forward and backwards but the view will be slaved to the view of the button you've mapped as long as it's held in.
