5" Guns damage

A cv's 5' gun can do damage to other ships in fleet. You can take the radar out on destroyers. It is not an emergency it's FYI.

I don't get it.

Yes, you can do damage to ships with a 5" gun.  If you mean, damage to other ships in the fleet?  No.

Ever spawn a PT and launch torpedoes at the fleet?  Pretty explosions and nothing else.

Forgot who said this while trying to take a base, but the quote goes like this. "I cant help you with ack, Im not in attack mode" This is with only 2 ack up in the town while troops were there, waiting. The rest of the town was down.

I know what he is talking about. He is saying that when you shoot at one of your own destroyers, it takes down the radar tower or what ever you call it. Same thing with the cruiser.

You can shoot your own 5" guns at your own destroyers and cause damage......Try it yourself..........

It's only graphical, not actual damage.  (Although I haven't tried yet.)

IE.  You can't sink your own destroyer.

I just got killed 1 Shot KILLED in a P51 going 300mph maneuvering over a CV, at 21,000 ft. Seriously, come on. I logged.

Buddy I do feel your pain, for me I was at 15k ina Pony, same result. But the same holds true when there was an nme cv off our coast and I was 1 shot killed while taking off. The SB gunner reporting hitting the nme cv at 12 miles out, go figure. It seems a little unreal and is very frustrating.

If you're getting hit by puffy from a CV 12 miles out while taking off then someone is shooting at you.

Auto-Puffy quits shooting if you are below 3k feet.

Yep, get in a 5" with AA, use land mode and click on field and fire off towards the runway. More than likely, you'll nab a few uppers.
