ECV Groups

Groups of smaller escort cv's with say just 2 destroyers that we can control like a regular cv group. But these groups could only say launch FM2 F4F you know, the smaller fighters and say the SBD and TBM and the two Japanese bombers.

It would allow more extensive use of the TBM, SBD, etc. Just another thing to have and to allow a more widespread use of the carrier plane set.

The F4U1 wasnt used really as a CV going aircraft.  Not until later in the war.  However i do like this idea!!

Not to beat a dead horse, but I think separate amphibious Invasion
fleets would do more for the game overall... just my 2c...

I definitely would like to see a small carrier (and an amphibious assult group) added to the game. According to the info I have, Corsairs never operated from any CVE's. However, they did operate from CVL's later in the war.

The CVL was an intermediate step between the big fleet carriers and the very small escort carriers.

Length- 622 feet

Casablanca Class Escort Carriers- (Most common CVE)

I'd think then the Seafire would be the most used there and it would single out the other fighters, since it's got the speed, cannons, a bomb, turn capability...get what I'm saying?

In theory I'd say "yes".

The escort CV, or light CV, played a pretty important part in the Pacific. In the Atlantic Brit ECVs, most of which were Yank made, played a huge part in keeping the north Atlantic trade routes open. In the Med. as well, Pacific too. Escort CVs were a big reason why we won in Africa.This is why Im wanting more Brit CV airplanes in the game, "most of all strike planes". It was cause the Royal Navy had a huge CV force in the war.

I guess the question is where, and exactly how, they would fit into the game.

Why not just have them spawn at the same ports as a regular CV? So there would be 2 CV's at a port.

(Wildcard)- Or have them only spawn at V bases that are along the coast?
