It'll only be cool for one side. Any dweeb with 1 or more bombs can render a small airfield useless.
IMO it would poorly affect the gameplay.

how do you  figure that?  you can take a plane off out of the hangar across the grass, or avoid the craters all together...

the only people it would be detrimental to would be those who still use automatic takeoff... boo hoo :cry

waaaayyy back craters would damage your aircraft if you drove through them at speed..

so runways were a viable target for attack, but now its better..  instead you just get a mass of low earth lancs and suicide jugs and 38s destroying all the hangars.. which is MUCH more enjoyable.

Hey! I have that quote. :D

To the OP...
1) Did you search? *cough*no*cough*
2) Did you REALLY think through this request? *cough*no*cough*
Sometimes, we just need to remember what the rules of life really are: You only
need two tools: WD-40 and Duct Tape. If it doesn't move and should, use the
WD-40. If it shouldn't move and does, use the duct tape.
