I posted this in the bug forum, and hope it will remain as a feature, or be installed for Full View, but since it may disappear you might want to try it out before that happens.
Whenever you enter an arena, the Full View mode is auto selected, with short range trees.
Go into any arena and enter Ground View, Shift+F4, and exit to the desktop.
When you re-enter the arena, Full View will again be selected, but Ground View will also be active.
This makes for a much better looking terrain with the trees disappearing at about 5 or 6 miles in the distance, and they blend in much better.
There's currently no other way I've found to do this.
Expect a frame rate hit, especially in the tower for some reason.
If you deliberately change Views again, you'll loose the combo view, and won't be able to get it again unless your start over.
