Plane sniping 1k hit Yak

[I started the film moments before I take my first shots]

This is my gunnery at its absolute finest. It is strange but sometimes when in a dog fight for me I just get this mental lance telling me this is the moment fire and in my head I just know success is mine. Yet other times I feel like nothing I do will ever put a shot in my target no matter how close he is. You all can chalk this up to luck but this is the 2nd time I have done this to a yak. The first time I hit the ground next to him as he flew low to the ground and the explosion killed him. I generally only take these shots when I am frustrated or if it is a nice fat target like a bomber or p47/tempest. I don't like to try this on bombers much though as bombers tend to be the best gunners in the world able to nail you 800 out going 550 mph -.- {If anyone else has some god sent shots post I love seeing miracles in action ^.^ and in a 39 I get to make them every day.}

did the same thing to a DPony about a month ago while I was in a Yak 9U. He was right above the water, 1000 out according to his icon, and I was chasing but not making any ground. I decided "what the hoo" and fired off 3 or 4 rounds above his plane, danged if they didn't just drop right onto him and knock off his right wing right at the root. I know he was shocked and probably pi$$ed.  :t

edit: Nice shot!

Never done it. Awesome. Closest I came to anything worthy (not that it was) was when I hit a k4 at an odd angle, blacked out, and he was below the nose of my f4 because of the high G's. In fact, after reviewing the film I hit him in 2 full bursts. I was stunned. He actually saluted me and said nice shot.
