I'm just another brother that needs HELP!!!!

This seems to be an all to common post and i'm sure you are getting tired of receiving them. However, I feel this is my last hope. I never have posted anything before but I have come to the conclusion that it is either ask for help or quit. I have a terrible frame rate which maxs out at 20 but hangs out at 13. This is with all the fetail turned off. I've tried diffent video setting from 128 up to 1024 with hi res package. Nothing really seems to help out. So here I am begging for some help!. I hope all those check 6's I given out over the years will provide me with some karma.

For some reason the video memory is not being seen when I check frame rates

Not an expert but I noticed the vid card. I had a 6200, get you a pci express card. That is a low low end card.

I would personally email skuzzy with your DxDiag and let him know what is going on.  he will tell you what is best

Try reducing your colors from 32 bit to 16 bit in windows at the Desktop. It added 8 fps to my machine.

I did notice that you show a Pentium D.
If I'm not mistaken, wasn't that before the Pentium 3? That wouldn't meet the minimum spec from last year, which was a Pentium 3, and the Home page has stated Pentium 4 for many months now.

Yes, skuzzy get all email from that one.  Make sure you attach your DiDiag with the email so he can glance at it and tell you what the issue may be.  You will get a faster respose from him that way then on the forum.

Make sure you research your mother board (or post the type here) before you buy new hardware. Not all video cards are the same and some video cards require a certain amount of power that most in Best Buy cannot support.

Like DEL said post and research. You could be bottel necked by the CPU. Putting the new parts in is not hard it is the research that takes time I find. I have pulled hairs looking for the right parts and then find something else that might be better. Don't be afraid to ask if what you find is right for you.
 What you pay at best buy you can get for less at on line stores.
  I up grated last year new vid, power supply, motherboard, CPU and memory for 450. This was by far not the best but what I could afford at the time and can run AH all turned up and no problems. Research Research and then ask.

 Newegg is a great spot for the person who hasnt built a rig.They often tell you what will go with what you are looking at as far as mother board,cpu, vid card.Prices are reasonable too.

I bet yours uses system ram to supplant inadequate vid card memory--I'm no expert by any means, but I remember a lot of all-in-one doing just that

I fixed my problem. YAHOOOO!!!. I got a new video card GeForce 9400 and a power supply 450w. I'm getting a good 60frame rate now with all the details turned on.
