Benefit of Being a Fireman at an Air Show
« on: August 23, 2009, 08:18:24 PM »
Here are just a few of the pics I was able to get. Our job was to control grass fires started the the pyrotechnics. At times it had us 50 yards from the runway at airshow center. F22, F16's flying right over our heads. :rock

Thats me, Shortbus, on the left.

After the show we got an escort from the Airshow command and the ground ground crew for the Raptor and we got a walk through on the F22.
We were taught fire suppresion, how to access external ejection panel, and a rundown on the weapons capability and the rocket/bomb bay.
99% of people were not allowed to be this close to the F22.
