  I LOVE THE JU 88,I do really,I dived bombed a panzer last night and killed it with a single 50kg bomb...tears of joy ran down my face,the other day I got 4 kills with it against fighters attacking me in 4 separate missions,and I landed after 2 of them and ditched on one and bailed on the last.
  it is a good thing we don't have the MG 131 in the defensive mounts, it could be a little to UBER

LW jabo surely exists - but to a very limited:

The FW190A8 (or even A5) are a dream to Jabo in. Very good dive, nice high speed handling, decent payload. But what hinders it to be at par with the Allied monster planes is the lack of loadouts that include several bombs. Heck, we only can take up one sinlge bomb (500kg, that's ok) - but that limits us to take off, kill Osti/Panzer, rtb, take up another bomb. MG151 is usless against armour here... Several allied planes can be loaded with multiple bombs - not to speak about the Hispano MarkII Turbo Laser Artillary   - they can reduce armour columns to rubble in no time...  

Btw - have been turret disabled in an Osti from a P51 with 3-4 pings... never managed that to do with MG151 or Mk108 EVER...  
(my aim is not THAT bad   )

Need multiple bomb load out for the A8 at least... or introduce F-models...

If you ask me, I say the Me410 is the one to add for a good, latewar Jabo plane.

Strictly speaking,m the JU-88 isn't a jagdbomber.

You try doing fighter missions with it and its one forward firing 13mm.

Then tell me it is a jagdbomber.

Or look up any sources saying the 88 A4 was a jabo.

The 190A8 was designed as a buff interceptor. It carries only one egg. While you can jabo in it, it is a secondary role and the one egg limit severly limits its effectiveness against anything that cannot be strafed.

And we all know that panzers cannot be destroyed with LW guns. Flaks can, but then you have to be quite lucky with a 30mm to the turret.

VVS and LW needs something that can take more than one single egg.

StSanta - why aren't you asking for a Ju-87 Stuka? It was made in huge numbers and played a massive part in the early war. It is a dedicated ground attack plane.

Why do people always demand the late-war uber-LW planes?

WE WANT MORE EARLY-WAR PLANES!!!!

JG2 Jabo's in the FW190 alot!  Fairly successful!  BigJoe is a born killer in it!!

Im so surprised Hazed hasen't posted here yet! We in JG2 are about to force him to change is name to JU88!!

Yah we do too, in the A8.

But, it's a buff hunter with a secondary role sort of semi thrown in as a jabo. With the new damage model coming, the 30s won't be as effective against buildings, and the eggs more so, so eggs will count more.

We'd be more effective in a G8/F8.
