the wep shows to use 276 gallons of fuel on with wep on but with wep off shows 290 with corresponding loss in time and range.

You mean just like the 47N and F4U-4?  If so it's supposed to be like that.  Don't ask me why; I'm no expert  :lol

Water injection replaces an equal amount of fuel in the mixture with water, therefore reducing the specific fuel consumption of the motor when water injection is being used.  I.e. you burn less fuel on WEP than at WOT.  This is modeled in game for all 3 of the R-2800 C series motors--P-47M, P-47N, and F4U-4.

Well, the water tank on the late-model P-47's was large enough to carry 15 minutes worth of water at 72" of MP.  For whatever its worth...
