Windows 7 and joystick settings

For years I've migrated settings, sights, & other folders to new AH installs.

Well I just setup Win 7 on a dual boot, loaded AH, loaded the folders, jump into the TA to find that AH sees my stick, but nothing is mapped.

Copied files again, restarted, still no joy.

What am I missing here?

Really did not want to have to redo it all from scratch as I use all 4 stick sets

Stick is there, calibrated in both Win and AH, and works fine.
Just nothing is set.

Does Win7 carry-over Vista's retarded "hide the files" system, where OEM versions' files can be hidden in stupid places?

I think the solution was to install AH into a folder NOT in the "program files" default folder. Did you do that, or place it in the "program files" folder?

I need to check but if I remember correctly AH save you mapping in a file named according to the joystick name ,name that depend of the name selected by the OS.

If you look at you settings folder you should find the old files and some new ones ,try to rename the old one with the new name.

You can change that in disk management.
