Many planes esp the bf 109s had a large array of field modifications. It would be cool if we could select different engines to go along with the plane. For example, If we gonna fight high bombers allow us to select the DB605 ASM instead DB605AM which had a larger supercharger improving the high alt performance, etc...

here are some engine configs for the bf 109 g14

- DB605 AM 1800 PS with MW-50 (modeled as wep in game?)
- DB605 ASM same output of 1800 PS but with a larger super charger, makes a difference at higher alts.
- DB605 ASC 2000 PS with use of C3 fuel

So what you're asking for is a G14/AS and a G6/AS with mk108 hub gun correct?  If so then I concur.
To each their pwn.

Yeah,  I thought it was more complicated than that due to there being many 'on the spot' mods done.  Did the G14/AS use DB605 ASC, because I thought it used the DB605 ASM (or did the G6 use the ASM)?

AS engine installations were not in field modifications. The A and AS engines due to several circumstances required very different mounts and cowling shapes. There are obvious visible differences between a G-6 and a G-6/AS.

That said I would love to see a G-6/AS or G-14/AS in game.

I would support the addition of either the Bf109G-6/AS or Bf109G-14/AS, but as separate aircraft from what AH already has.

separate planes is fine, I was just worried that it would be more work for HiTech than just having different engine selections.
