Hey Tuk you did the best you could with what you had to work with. Our combined Squads had a total of 15 planes.
I went back and looked over the film, we tried to protect our CV from 37 nme aircraft.

15 vs. 37..... the outcome was predictable. An honorable try, hats off to you and your boys.

Thanks Jester... I guess it has taken a couple of days to (cool off) after that (whoopin!) we took..
From the logs, it looks like the LCA and Swampdragons made the raid on C96. Plus the AOM's.  I was very impressed with the bombers tight formation, and the Ki61's attacks on our boats.  Salute to all of you, was a nice raid.
Sorry we could'nt muster anymore to fight you.... :salute
Was honor to die with ya 49jester, you guys are great bunch and thanks for being there.... :cheers:

To the FSO community,
As Hellcat FG CO, I apologize for what happened last Friday. I was out of town Friday, and I thought I had made the necissary arrangements for the squad to operate in my absance. Apparently, I did not. I apologize that nobody from my squad showed up, and I will do everything within my power to make sure that this does not happen again. If anyone to blame, it is me for not making sure that my squad knew for certain that I would be out of town.

Im sorry for the trouble this has caused,

<S>

Thanks for the e-mail reply and the post here. :)

Can't say that it is all your fault. Sometimes squadies need to step up when the C.O. can't be around. I have several in my squad that take over when I can't attend. It is a healthy response for all squads to work towards.  :aok

Was fun, Flew with the Killuminati and we were the first to run into the F6F's in our Nik's.

Late in the frame the squad kind of got split apart, followed a few F4U's a couple sectors and eventually engaged two and shot them down, only to be caught up in 3 more cons moments later. Regardless if I died, I had a lot of fun. <S>
