I think the set up is fun and well done, but I think the fights are too spread out (the map is big). Late frame action is like going to the prom with the hottest virgin in school (would give your left arm for some action but more than likely you will get denied).
For one the I-16s short fuel legs and also some situations lend themselves to smaller squads trying to defend or attack vs a much larger force with no chance in hell that help could be sent.
If I may make a suggestion, focus frames on certain areas of the map instead of all areas in each frame. For example the battle for the South in frame 1 Middle frame 2 or some variation.
This is just my opinion from our experience in frame 1 and frame 3, I missed out on frame 2.
