Need info on the P39 engine on soviet service.
« on: May 11, 2010, 08:03:37 PM »
Heya guys. Long time no speak ;)

Once again I'm sitting hundreds of miles away from my book, and I need some data I know is present on them but can't really recall it's details. So, I'm coming here for some of the gurus around to lend me a hand ;).

We all know that the P-39 in soviet service usually went through the process of being lightened by erasing some of the machine guns and part of the plane's armor. The russians also used higher boosts on them than what was used on the American USAAF. What I'm looking for is just about this...does anyone around have some hard data on the engine settins used in the plane when in soviet service?. I'd need the sources where the info come from aswell.

Thanks in advance :)
