To help with what Larry was showing (small pics make detail hard to see):

If you think that "looks like crap" you need to reconsider what you think looks good.  If you can't play on Hi-res that is not HTC's fault.  They make the game playable to low-end users who do not have the money/need to upgrade their computer to have fun, and they cater to those who want the game to look "pretty" and have money (or don't yet spend it anyways) to make it so.  If you want full glory don't expect it on a $300 computer from Best-Buy.  HTC can't just make it look good on your lower-end computer, there is a reason you have to run low details....would you rather play a slide-show?

The F4Us have what are probably the most detailed models in the game.  The Mossie you mentioned looks really nice, but I'd put the F4U models above it.

Even though the Spitfire was updated to AH2's level of graphics five years ago, it looks dated when put side by side with the newer models, TYPH in particular. I'm very surprised that we don't see opening canopies, folding wings on C.V planes and pilot head animations by now.

Same with P38s, B24 and Ki-84, but I'm a happy camper until the entire planeset it updated
