GV Bug?
« on: June 03, 2010, 04:22:12 PM »
I took out a Wirblewind last night, got it up to speed, and upon switching into either gun position it would automatically go into a continuous left hand turn.  When I switched back into the driver's position, it would go straight again.

Is this a bug, or working as intended? :)

Sounds like you are somehow applying left rudder. Involuntary stick input?

I took my feet off of the pedals and let go of the stick, and I didn't see any movement in the calibration screen.

Is it possible to turn these with pedals while in a gunner's position?

But from your reply, it's easy to see it's something on my end.  I'll go in and test a few times.  Thank you. :)

Yes. In any position but the drivers, you steer the tank using the rudder axis.

I seemed to have the same problem a few days ago. I re-calibrated and everything worked fine again.

So I figured out what it was -- the little stick on my CH Throttle.  That turns the GV left and right.  It never did before.  I had to set a huge deadband on it and all is well.

Thanks. :)  GVing was fun tonight since I could turn while firing the guns.... :)
